Gimenetti's Cincinnati, Ohio

Gimenetti's is an Italian diner in Cincinnati with a simple menu. That's not to say that the food is simple, but the menu is short. The food however is way above average, especially if you count the price! $6.95 for a Reuben? Yes please, and its wasn't even one of those bowling alley Reubens with 2 slices of crappy corned beef and fry sauce. No, this one was on real rye, had a goodly amount of beef and sauerkraut without being too big to put you in a post lunch food coma.

So far we have gone to this place for three days straight because the sandwiches are so good. They feature the Chevre, the MBLT (Mozzarella BLT), a Muffletta, and then the ones you would expect to see, such as a spicy Italian hoagie and the classic meatball sub. Between the three of us (myself, Anthony, and Benjamin) we are almost done with the sandwich menu.

As you can see the place has "government building" looks with a slightly out of place awning, but at least the awning is deli-like. You can also smell this place a mile away if you are downwind since they make fresh bread and also have pizza in the ovens. You are guaranteed to drive right past this place without noticing that you had until your GPS starts nagging you to make a u turn. Clientele ranges from businessmen and women in suits to people barely wearing shorts and a t-shirt. The entire spectrum. This almost makes coming to Ohio better, but not quite. I didn't go as far as wearing my Michigan stuff, but suffered some heavy looks when wearing Red Wings attire...
No idea what this is, but Ben says it was awesome

Reuben with a bite out of it. Couldn't wait, sorry
